Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)

CranioSacral Therapy is a safe, gentle and effective manual therapy that works by facilitating the body’s own natural healing powers to remove or lesson the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system (CNS). It works by treating a physiological system known as the CranioSacral system, which houses and protects the CNS (the brain and the spinal cord).

In CST, the practitioner uses a gentle, hands on technique utilizing light touch to release tension in the animal’s connective tissue network, call the fascia. This in turn modifies and corrects restrictions in the CranioSacral System to improve wellness and enhance the animal’s self-correcting and self-regulating body mechanism.

By freeing restrictions within the body, CST relieves pain, reduces stress and improves movement and range of motion. CST promotes overall healing and well-being, and helps the body to return to normal healthy function. It also encourages the healthy functioning of the central nervous system and supports the body’s innate healing wisdom and the ability to heal.
